Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician for our Technical Operations Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to assist with the daily activities of assigned Plant Maintenance Technicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports Plant Maintenance Supervisor in managing assigned staff by monitoring zone activity, technician workload and performance.
Provides technical assistance and training to Plant Maintenance technicians, in the field.
Assists with preparing/organizing scheduled daily technician workload in cooperation with Central Operations and assigning to technicians in addition to performing field work, typically of the most complex variety.
Includes recognizing, practicing and enforcing safety rules and procedures. Perform monthly safety meetings.
Performs challenging PR problems and handles customer services issues through effective verbal communications.
Assist Plant Maintenance Supervisor with tool inventory.
Conducts quality control and monthly field safety checks on assigned employees to ensure a high quality of work has been performed and safety procedures are being properly followed. Provide feedback to Plant Maintenance Supervisor regarding technicians' performance for employee evaluation purposes.
Inspects service vehicles on a monthly basis for sufficient stock of equipment and tools, neatness and ensures proper maintenance of the vehicle.
Assist and approve stock request.
Will act as a liaison between line and service department on issues the affect both departments.
Assist with CLI ride outs as needed.
Prepare test equipment for shipping and repair.
Perform all the essential duties and responsibilities of a Plant Maintenance Specialist.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will assume supervisor responsibilities when Plant Maintenance Supervisor is unavailable.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES):
Must be highly organized and possess strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Must possess a working knowledge of all tools, test equipment and materials utilized by the Plant Maintenance technicians.
Must be certified to climb poles to 20 feet or higher using gaffs and perform work at that height.
Must be proficient with monitoring tools and evaluating reports.
Requires ability to work efficiently, effectively and independently in a fast:paced environment.
Requires ability to exercise good judgment (keeping in mind company policies and procedures as guidelines) to satisfy customer wants and needs.
Must be able to troubleshoot cable/telephone service problems using intuitive/analytical skills combined with on:the:job training.
Requires ability to work extra hours to meet customer service demands, especially during peak periods.
Requires ability to route calls to complete work within time frame of customer's expectations.
Requires ability to handle a high volume of face:to:face situations with customers in successive order while maintaining a professional demeanor.
