JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to Northside Medical Center for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Dental Services for assisting the dentist in the examination and treatment of patients. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES
Assists and supports many diversified dental procedures in a professionally recognized and trained manner. Performs all lab work Maintains an aseptic environment by cleaning all equipment and surfaces according to recognized procedures. Performs preventative maintenance on dental equipment and instruments. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in dental assisting preferred. Requires up to six months to one years experience on this or related jobs in a hospital or healthcare facility.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION
Certification in radiology from the Ohio State Dental Board
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Broad knowledge in professional area, instrument cleaning and assisting skills.
LANGUAGE AND MATH SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail and word processing,
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PATIENT CARE
